The staff, students, parents, and community of Lamping Elementary School are committed to excellence in education. It is our mission to provide a caring, positive, and safe learning environment where each child is challenged to achieve commensurate with his/her ability and is provided enriching experiences that foster personal integrity, respect, and responsibility. |

The Frank Lamping community of administrators, teachers, parents, and support staff work diligently to ensure a well rounded exceptional education for all students to meet our high expectations.- Lamping Elementary School has met Annual Yearly Progress as set forth by "No Child Left Behind" for eight consecutive years.
- Extended-day learning activities such as clubs, enrichment classes, stargazing, and weekend science camps were offered.
- Lamping staff were trained in Inclusive School Practices to ensure we welcome, challenge, and advance each and every child.
- Teachers and community members provided tutoring before, during, and after school for students on the cusp of proficiency.
- Every classroom utilized interactive whiteboard hardware to intellectually engage students with technology integration.
- A fully equipped science lab with a full-time instructor provided hands-on instruction for all students in grades K-5.
- Lamping's William McCool Science Center served as a paleontology field trip destination for CCSD schools.
- Lamping students placed in the Nevada Science Olympiad competition and the Southern Nevada Writing Project contest.
- Major units of study were culminated with field trips in grades K-5 throughout the city, county, state, and country.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 All students will demonstrate increased achievement in mathematics on the spring 2010-2011 Nevada CRT.
Objective(s): Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will demonstrate an increase in mathematics proficiency in the problem solving strand as measured by the Nevada CRT. Specific improvement will be made by FRL, IEP, and African/Am students in the strand of read to comprehend, interpret, and evaluate informational text.
Goal 2 All students will demonstrate increased achievement in reading on the spring 2010-2011 Nevada CRT.
Objective(s): Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will demonstrate an increase in reading proficiency in the comprehension strand as measured by the Nevada CRT. Specific improvement will be made by FRL, IEP, and African/Am students in the strand of problem solving.
