Bunker embraces inclusive practices with our "All Means All" philosophy. We would like to celebrate the progress we have made in our efforts to increase student achievement and parental involvement:- Empowered teachers with site-based and data-driven decision making within the framework of a Professional Learning Community;
- School-wide implementation of Investigations, Readers/Writers workshop, and Guided Reading for consistent core instruction;
- Embraced the Response to Intervention model to support struggling learners with Aimsweb, IDMS, and INFORM as data sources;
- Cultured 'Best Buddies' and 'Be Kind' programs to further the school's mission and create a positive learning environment;
- Increased parental involvement with Math Olympics, Spelling Bee, parent workshops, academic nights, & author's celebrations;
- Increased professional development for licensed and support staff in all areas pertaining to our school improvement plan;
- Conducted focused lesson studies to allow teachers to plan lessons together and observe peers to increase student engagement;
- Celebrated student achievement with trimester awards assemblies, Super Heroes, Wall of Fame, and morning opening ceremonies;
- Empowered students with leadership roles, peer mediation, ambassadors, and jobs to generate ownership in the school.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Grades 3-5 will increase ELA proficiency 13% on the spring 2011 CRT. K-5 will increase 19% on 2011 Survey Assessment.
Objective(s): LEP students will increase their ELA proficiency 16% on the 2011 CRT and/or a 10% reduction of the non-proficient LEP students through intensive vocabulary development and instruction consistent with all the HQSI components. 10% increase in the meets and exceed categories on the Survey Assessment.
Goal 2 60% of students will score 75% or above in math on the Survey Assessment and increase by 10% on the 2011 CRT.
Objective(s): The percentage of students in the 'exceeds' category will increase from 11% to 25% on the 2011 math CRT through increased DOK levels and differentiated enrichment activities. The percentage of IEP students will increase from 11% to 40% on the 2011 math CRT.
