Betsy Rhodes Elementary School, home of the Rockets, provides high-quality instruction and promotes equity. We focus on building trusting relationships with our students and their families.- The Bully Free Campaign and the Six Pillars of Character promoted a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Student Council and Peer Mediation provided students with opportunities for leadership in the school community.
- After-school programs included Drama Kids, Bricks 4 Kidz, Schoolhouse Chess and Mad Science classes.
- Honor Assemblies acknowledged students for outstanding attendance, citizenship, academic achievement and/or improvement.
- Morning announcements and special events were broadcasted school-wide through our in-class television station.
- The partnership with Safe Routes to Schools and Bike Safety Rodeo promoted safety and an increase in physical activity.
- Students benefited from state-funded class-size reduction, after-school tutorials, CRT Boot Camps and Writing Camps.
- Reading CRT ability levels three-year average showed 71% proficient in grade 3 and 72% proficient in grade 4.
- Honor Choir and Centennial Hills Public Library Art Exhibit highlighted student performance and promoted fine arts education.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Students, grades 3-5, will demonstrate an increase in the number of students meeting proficiency in reading and writing.
Objective(s): Students, grades 3-5, will increase reading achievement from 66.15% proficient to 71.15% proficient as measured by the 2011 Criterion Referenced Test. Students, grade 5, will demonstrate a 10% increase of students moving from non-proficiency to proficiency as measured on the 2011 NV Writing Exam.
Goal 2 Students, grades 3-5, will demonstrate an increase in the number of students meeting proficiency in mathematics.
Objective(s): Students, grades 3-5, will increase math achievement from 64.4% proficient to 71.4% proficient as measured by the 2011 Criterion Referenced Test.
