Strategic and collaborative efforts fostered a successful, child-centered learning environment. Students and stakeholders engaged in school programs and events that were meaningful and memorable.- A wide variety of after-school Enrichment Academies engaged students in extra-curricular learning activities.
- Students, parents, and teachers enjoyed learning trips to Carson City and Lake Mead.
- The Cartwright Television Production Studio involved 5th grade students in television production.
- We provided after-school tutoring in reading, writing, and math for struggling students.
- Teachers were involved in data analysis and focusing on grade level intervention strategies that would increase achievement.
- We recognized students demonstrating academic success with a sock hop, carnival, and Character Building Assemblies.
- Students mastered math facts with a school-wide Math Blaster Campaign.
- Students in grades 3, 4, and 5, participated in World Traveler, Nevada Citizen, and Great American.
- A school science fair showcased over 150 student projects for classes and parents to enjoy.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Students in grade 5 will increase achievement in writing with a focus on conventions on the Nevada Writing Proficiency.
Objective(s): On the 2011 Nevada Writing Proficiency Exam, subgroups performing below target will increase 10-15% based on previous performance to meet Safe Harbor.
Goal 2 Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will show increased achievement in reading on the Nevada CRT.
Objective(s): Subgroups performing below target will increase 10-15% based on previous performance to close the achievement gap.
