Mission Statement
Our mission at Aggie Roberts Elementary School is to develop independent, secure individuals, capable of adapting to an ever-changing world. We will teach essential skills and promote a personal lifelong love of learning.
 
Highlights
Educational experiences focus on academic excellence and social growth with a partnership between students, staff, parents and the community.
  • Student recognition programs provided field trips, Responsible Roadrunner assemblies and Honor Roll.
  • Positive Testing Outlook promoted school-wide positive testing environment while focusing on test-taking strategies.
  • Lunch with the Principal promoted responsible student behavior.
  • A school-wide Green Theme promoted student awareness and personal responsibility in recycling.
  • An after-school enrichment program provided tutoring to identified students, as well as special interest programs.
  • A school music production featured the choir and Mallet Master Club.
  • A before-school exercise program promoted physical fitness for all students.
  • Student-created art was used for the school folder, yearbook cover, T-shirts and school murals.
  • We had an Arbor Day celebration in partnership with the City of Henderson and Clark County Extension Service.
 
Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
All teachers will analyze data to inform and modify instruction before identifying and progress monitoring students.

Objective(s):
By the end of the 2010 - 2011 school year, all teachers will use CRT, P-Values, common assessments, Aimsweb and grade level assessments to inform and modify instructional strategies to meet student needs while using the school-wide system to progress monitor RTI students.

Goal 2
Teachers will participate in professional development based on instructional needs focused on monitoring and feedback.

Objective(s):
By the end of the 2010 - 2011 school year all teachers will participate in professional development and implement the skill learned in their classrooms or present it to faculty.
