Lowman Elementary is committed to the development of life-long learners by engaging students in a challenging learning environment that will empower and inspire student inquiry, and that will prepare them to be citizens of a global community. |

Lowman utilizes many programs that promote academic achievement, including single-gender classes, theme-integrated curricula, and a school-wide micro-society.- Excellence Awards: Student/Citizen of the Month, Academic Achievement Awards, Honor Roll, Perfect Attendance.
- Community Partnerships: Cannery Resorts, NLV Chamber of Commerce, CCSD Purchasing/Warehouse, Los Vaqueros.
- Summer School: Enrichment, extension, and remediation for students during the month of June.
- Family Involvement: Math and Literacy Nights, Open House, Science Fair, School Carnival, classroom volunteer opportunities.
- Extended Day Tutoring: Additional instructional services offered before or after school for identified students
- Class-size Reduction: State funding for first, second, and third grades to benefit from smaller class sizes.
- Biological Wonders: Students care for vegetable and flower gardens and raise numerous organisms for use in science.
- Micro-society: Students learn financial responsibility and business skills by operating student-owned businesses.
- Single-gender Education: Based on brain research, discipline issues decrease, academic achievement increases.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 All students will show an increase in ELA, showing specific improvement in DOK levels one through three.
Objective(s): The number of students in the emergent and approaches categories on the CRT and NWPE will decrease by ten percent. The number of students in the meets/exceeds category on the CRT and NWPE will increase by ten percent.
Goal 2 All students will show an increase in ELA, showing specific improvement in DOK levels one through three.
Objective(s): The number of students in the emergent and approaches categories on all CCSD and school-based assessments will decrease by five percent each trimester. The number of students in the meets/exceeds categories on all CCSD and school-based assessments will increase by five percent each trimester.
Goal 3 All students will demonstrate an increase in mathematics, showing specific improvement in DOK levels one through three.
Objective(s): The number of students in the emergent/approaches categories on state, CCSD, and school-based assessments will decrease by ten percent. The number of students in the meets/exceeds category on State, CCSD, and school-based assessments will increase by ten percent.
