All students at Marc E. Kahre Elementary School are expected to develop social, academic, and critical thinking skills necessary to compete, create, lead, and live successfully as contributing members of our ever-changing society. |

Marc Kahre Elementary School, where learning comes first, is proud to highlight the following accomplishments:- Grade-level academic evening events were hosted to share, highlight, and celebrate student learning.
- After-school homework assistance sessions were offered to students and were facilitated by teachers on staff.
- The Student Council organized major charitable projects to help organizations within the community.
- A Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) was formally reinstated to foster the important home-school-community relationship.
- The school purchased 15 interactive instructional white boards to enhance instruction in all content areas.
- The Pawsitive Paws incentive program reinforced positive student behavior.
- Students of the Month luncheons celebrated individual students' academic and social successes.
- School-wide implementation of Voyager Passport provided literacy interventions for struggling readers.
- Honor choir, student council, cheerleading, and History Works were offered to students to enrich the school experience.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 All students will increase achievement in math as measured by the 2010-2011 Nevada CRT.
Objective(s): Students will demonstrate an increase in proficiency in mathematics from 70.13% to 73.13%. Specifically, the IEP subgroup will increase proficiency from 48.28% to 51.28%.
Goal 2 All students will increase achievement in reading as measured by the 2010-2011 Nevada CRT.
Objective(s): Students will increase proficiency in reading from 63.52% to 66.52%. Specifically, the IEP subgroup will increase proficiency from 44.83% to 47.83%.
Goal 3 All 5th grade students will increase achievement in writing as measured by the 2010-2011 Nevada Writing Exam.
Objective(s): Students will increase proficiency in writing from 46.67% to 51.67%. Specifically, the IEP subgroup will increase proficiency from 18.18% to 21.18%; and the African American subgroup will increase proficiency from 23.08% to 28.08%.
