It is the mission of Robert Lunt Elementary School to ensure opportunities and experiences for our students to meet the CCSD curriculum benchmarks by addressing individual needs and promoting social and personal growth. Every day is a new day for our children and staff to grow and learn through mutual respect in a positive, collaborative environment. |

In the spirit of collaboration and support, Robert Lunt Elementary School, a professional learning community, focused on the students' social and academic achievement utilizing best practices.- 21st Century Community Learning Center Federal Grant offered writing instruction and enrichment after school.
- Science Laboratory promoted inquiry-based instruction with hands-on learning opportunities.
- Title I-funded teachers and consultants provided continuous professional development.
- K-5 students participated in the 101 Book Challenge to increase fluency, comprehension and motivation to read.
- Fast ForWord and Study Island computer-assisted interventions provided students additional assistance with literacy.
- Family Literacy, Mathematics and Science Nights promoted family involvement with their children's education.
- Business partner, Ed Bernstein and Associates, provided time and mentors to students to support social and academic growth.
- K-5 teachers participated in grade-level lesson study professional development in language arts and mathematics.
- ST Mathematics, computer-assisted instructional materials, promoted conceptual understanding in mathematics.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Teachers will increase achievement in language arts using differentiated instruction and research-based practices.
Objective(s): As measured by the 2010-2011 Nevada CRT in reading, the percent of all proficient students in the third, fourth and fifth grades will increase 20% from 32.25% to 52.25%. The percent of proficient students will increase 60% in reading on the Nevada CRT, from 32.25% to 92.25% by 2012-2013.
Goal 2 Teachers will increase achievement in language arts using differentiated instruction and research-based practices.
Objective(s): As measured by the 2010-2011 Nevada Writing Proficiency Examination, the percent of all proficient students will increase 22% from 26.04% to 48.04%. The percent of proficient students will increase 66% in writing on the Nevada Writing Proficiency Examination, from 26.04% to 92.04% by 2012-2013.
Goal 3 Teachers will increase achievement in mathematics using differentiated instruction and research-based practices.
Objective(s): As measured by the 2010-2011 Nevada CRT in mathematics, the percent of all proficient students in the third, fourth and fifth grades will increase 18% from 43.89% to 61.89%. The percent of proficient students will increase 54% in mathematics on the Nevada CRT, from 43.89% to 97.89% by 2012-2013.
