John A. Dooley Elementary School provided outstanding educational programs for all students. The students participated in a challenging curriculum that focused on academic and social growth.- Promoted fitness for students and families through Diamond Dashers, Family Fitness Nights, and Jump Rope and Hoops for Heart
- Celebrated Nevada Reading Week activities including guest readers from the community and reading incentives
- Held Student Council elections, organized "Spirit Days", and assisted in fund-raising activities and community outreach
- Acknowledged student academic and behavioral successes including Diamond of the Week and Gemstone of the Month recognitions
- Provided reading incentives for students through Ticket to Read as well as the ongoing Apple Core Bookmark program
- Fostered the Fellers Art Factory for all grade levels, to encourage an appreciation for different art forms and culture
- Conducted after-school literature and art clubs provided by our librarian and art teachers
- Exhibited rhythm and music skills through Dooley's Drum Band, promoting music appreciation and showcasing student talent
- Issued Diamond Bucks for getting caught being good, redeemable for pizza with the principal or prizes in the snack shack

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Teachers will use differentiated and tiered instruction to increase student engagement/achievement in all content areas.
Objective(s): As measured by the CRTs and Nevada Writing Proficiency Exam, all subgroups will achieve or surpass annual growth targets of 63.8% in ELA and 65.9% in math.
Goal 2 Teachers will use effective DOK questioning strategies to increase student engagement/achievement in all content areas.
Objective(s): As measured by the CRTs and Nevada Writing Proficiency Exam, all subgroups will achieve or surpass annual growth targets of 63.8% in ELA and 65.9% in math or achieve Safe Harbor.
