  • We were provided with class-size reduction by the state in first through third grades.
  • One full-day, tuition-based kindergarten class was offered to strengthen student preparedness for first grade skills.
  • Monthly teacher planning time and staff development enhanced student academic success.
  • Our Response To Intervention program provided daily reading and math intervention with weekly progress-monitoring.
  • A school-wide science program emphasized experimentation, discovery and vocabulary development.
  • Inclusive Schools practices were followed to promote inclusion for all special education students when appropriate.
  • Students participated in monthly citizenship assemblies and daily incentives to promote monthly character traits.
  • An after-school Art Club, Drama Club, and choir offered students additional ways to express their creativity.
  • An extra 15 minutes of instruction was added to the student day to increase achievement in mathematical fluency.
