Mission Statement
Sister Robert Joseph Bailey ES will provide a healthy learning environment for children in which every effort is made by staff, by families, by the students, and by the community for student success.
 
Highlights
Named for a nun who dedicated her life to the health of children of Southern Nevada, Sister Robert Joseph Bailey Elementary School focuses on creating healthy student minds and bodies.
  • Designated as a High Achieving School for academic growth with state testing
  • Met AMAO goals for the high number of ELL students improving English language skills
  • Focused on the use of high quality resources and materials to address the individual needs of every student
  • Used highly effective and proficient technology with instruction in each classroom and with 4 different computer labs
  • Emphasized various extension activities including over 20 annual field trips, yearbook club, art club, honor choir and more
  • Offered over 650 hours of tutoring to students before and after school in reading, writing, and mathematics
  • Hosted school-wide events such as the Haunted Fiesta, Talent Show, Literacy and Math Nights, Buckaroo Reading Week, and more
  • Assessed of student levels school-wide in reading, writing, and math at least 4 times a year to track student progress

Goal 1
Increase the use of strategies to improve instruction, increase student participation, and increase student achievement

Objective(s):
All subgroups will make state goals on state tests by the end of the 2010-2011 school year. All classroom teachers will increase their use of engagement strategies, align instruction to essential standards, and use differentiated instruction throughout the 2010-2013 school years.
