Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School's success and excellence is attributed to the school's continued belief in providing a nurturing learning environment.- Bank of Nevada provided classroom support to the literacy and math programs.
- 5th grade students won second place in the West Prep Academy Oratorical competition - elementary division.
- The Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program placed new books in the hands of all students to start their own home libraries.
- On Plant Day parents & community members planted over 150 plants on school campus including the Kindergarten Learning Garden.
- Charles Bibbs, fine artist, entrepreneur, philanthropist, conducted a workshop for students, teachers and the community.
- Rainbow served as home to the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School Las Vegas (served 100 students).
- Sheriff John Gillespe kicked off the October Book Fair.
- Students in grades 1-4 performed a "Dance Movement" recital for parents and community at the West Las Vegas Library Theatre.
- College Week activities were held to encourage students to seek higher education.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Grades 3, 4 & 5 will show increased achievement scores in reading on the 2011 Criterion Referenced Test (CRT).
Objective(s): Non-proficient student performance on the Criterion Referenced Test (CRT) in reading will decrease by 10% in grades 3, 4 & 5.
Goal 2 Students in grades 3, 4 & 5 will show increased achievement in mathematics on the 2011 Criterion Referenced Test (CRT).
Objective(s): Non proficient students in grades 3, 4 & 5 will decrease by 10% in mathematics on the 2011 Criterion Referenced Test (CRT).
Goal 3 Implement a model for school, family, and community collaboration designed to support student learning.
Objective(s): Provide opportunities for parental and community involvement through quarterly "Parent School Nights." These research-based parenting skills workshops will be measured by at least 85% participation.
