Keller ES is proud to highlight the following:- The Daily Five was implemented as part of our daily literacy.
- Professional Learning Community (PLC) meetings were held weekly to analyze data and improve student achievement.
- A 3-tier model, HQSI strategies, RTI, and an Instructional Consultation Team (ICT) were implemented to support achievement.
- AimsWeb assessments, DRA, and CORE phonics provided information on reading achievement to determine interventions.
- Imagine Learning, Ticket to Read, and Accelerated Reader provided independent practice to supplement instruction.
- Focus on The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R. Covey encouraged responsible behavior.
- Inclusive practices and a Newcomer program assisted students in the regular classroom.
- Training in the Gradual Release Framework and an emphasis on the Components of an Effective Lesson improved instruction.

Goal 1
Teachers will utilize effective strategies to improve instruction and to increase student engagement and achievement.
Objective(s):
All students will achieve the mathematics target of 66% or attain Safe Harbor; students will achieve the reading target of 64% or attain Safe Harbor; and grade 5 students will achieve the writing target of 64% or attain Safe Harbor, as measured by the 2011 CRT and Nevada Writing Proficiency Exam.
