Two-Way Language Immersion Training (Seven Steps to Success in Dual Language Immersion) has been provided to all faculty and certified support staff. All staff have an understanding of the instructional strategies that focus on language acquisition, literacy skills, and assessment tools that address the diverse linguistic levels of students. This training distinctively correlates Mariposa’s dual language mission and vision to prepare students to become critical thinkers and bilingual/bi-literate adults. Continued Guided Language Acquisition Development (GLAD) and Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol (SIOP) trainings. The entire faculty incorporates these strategies to enhance their language arts, math, and science instruction.
