The Elko County School District Curriculum is reviewed and revised for each content area on a seven year cycle. A committee of teachers, parents and administrators work to develop a curriculum that meets the academic expectations for student achievement with final approval of the curriculum made by the Board of Trustees. Once this process is completed each school in the district follows the adopted curriculum. For extensive detailed curriculum guides please visit the district website at http://www.elko.k12.nv.us. At the beginning of the year, teachers from throughout the district met according to their content areas to discuss instructional strategies used to teach the curriculum, discuss standards, or review newly adopted textbooks.
