Welcome to the Nevada Department of Education public education accountability website known as the NEVADA REPORT CARD.  In compliance with the collection of data required by both federal and state law, this website will provide you with a wealth of detailed information.

Through this website, you have access to state, district and school level data in eleven different categorical areas.  Information provided includes state-mandated assessments, student discipline, attendance, graduation and dropout rates, fiscal data and much more.

Features will allow you to “dig” deeper into relevant educational issues.  For example, you can make achievement comparisons among schools by demographic characteristics using the "Custom Search” feature.  You can also look at differences between school districts in terms of categories such as “per-pupil expenditures” using the “Compare” feature.

As of the 2010-2011 school year, there is a new feature that provides a measure of student growth in grades 4-8.  A student's achievement can now be measured in terms of growth on Criterion Referenced Test's in Reading and Mathematics.  Enhanced levels of accessability and reporting will continue to be added.

As Superintendent of Public Instruction, I am certain that the information provided will assist all of us, educators, parents and citizens of Nevada, in our efforts to better serve our students.  Thank you for your interest in and support for public education in the State of Nevada.

Sincerely,

Keith W. Rheault
Superintendent of Public Instruction
